Safe temporary routes for walkers and cyclists at construction
Resident asks the City to fund and regulate temporary travel lanes so pedestrians and cyclists can move safely around construction sites.

The idea
My proposal project is to fund a program that makes sure pedestrians and cyclists have safe places to navigate streets during construction. There are always safety concerns (often officers to make sure cars can travel safely).
Who it helps and why
But pedestrians and cyclists are often left to travel unsafely in traffic. The City should regulate temp. travel lanes for both (fund them for public construction projects). This project enhances safety for vulnerable road users - cyclists as well as elderly, disable, and child pedestrians.
