The idea
Parents (single) struggle with working a 9-5 job but trying to figure out how to still drop their children off at programs that commence at 830a and end at 330p. A Saturday Success School and Summer program offering academics/arts w/times that align!
Who it helps and why
A Saturday Success School and Summer Program, in which Math, Science, and Dance instruction offered to minority urban at-risk scholars is ultimately important as according to a report featured in the U.S. News and World Report, “Nearly 75% of children born by 2030 will be people of color.” This is critical as it is minority students that are victims to the achievement gap and lack resources in an effort to bridge this gap. Lower parent stress levels - mental health is critical! Hours for working parents and scholars need to align. I have never seen programs that align in Boston.
