The idea

The Zeru Foundation project features an exhibit on Turkish/Syrian refugees and immigrants. Workshops offer trauma-informed care for parents and city staff. The goal is to build community resilience and empathy through storytelling.

Who it helps and why

We envision the exhibit to form a bridge across cultures and bring forth not only collective trauma but explore how resilience can be built on a personal, family and community level. Our workshop aims to include not only immigrant parents who are feeling under threat , but also state workers and professionals in the community who work with them. Social and racial equity is weaved into this work.
