The idea
Stop paying city employees (police, fire, ambulance) to engage in swatting breaking into elders homes, removing air conditioners etc in name of welfare checks which harm the elder; when they know/should know elder isnt in danger. Allow elder opt out
Who it helps and why
There presently exists bigotry and age discrimination by these city employees. The police form has a separate check box for elderly indicating they discriminate against the elderly, they seem to think that the constitution and the right to be secure in ones home does not apply to the elderly and these city employees can break into elderly homes at will without a warrant, without probable cause, when there is no exigent circumstances and the elder is not in any danger. These bigoted city employees falsely claim that if an elder has not been seen for a few days or has not answered their door that is an allowable basis to break into the elders home without a warrant and without probable case claiming a welfare check when it is not and they can break or remove the elders air conditioner without replacing it and leave the elder sweltering during a heat wave at great harm to the elder, traumatizing the elder, violating their privacy, and potentially causing heat stroke and death. Old does not mean dead, The elderly like many others travel and go on vacations, cruises, resorts, etc. The mere fact that an elder has not been seen or not answered their door is not a basis to break into their homes. These requests for welfare checks and claims that they have not seen the elder and falsely allege they are worried about them, are made by racists, extortionist or other criminals complete strangers unknown to the elder or criminals giving fake names with improper ulterior motives Not only is swatting a crime maliciously harming the elder but it takes city employees away from incidents where they are actually needed.
