Subsidize summer camps and financial literacy programs

Resident suggests $1 million to subsidize summer camps and afterschool programs with financial education and trades, because low-income neighborhoods have weaker options for kids.

The idea

I would like to address the issue of quality summer and afterschool experiences for the children of Boston. If given the opportunity I would grant $1 million to subsidize summer camps and more financial literacy driven programs for all ages.

Who it helps and why

Low income neighborhoods tend to have sub par options for after summer camps and school programs that include substantive financial education and trades. These options will help all kids advance on a more level playing field.
