The idea
My proposal is for the city to purchase E-bikes or electric motorcycles that are equipped with live saving equipment for emergency response. These vehicles are faster at responding to emergencies than large fire trucks and ambulances.
Who it helps and why
By adjusting the fleet of emergency vehicles, EMPs can respond to emergencies quicker. In addition, smaller initial-responder vehicles will allow us to design our streets to accommodate pedestrians and other vulnerable road users. A disproportionate number of traffic deaths occur in black/brown communities.
