Flashing yellow lights at mid-block crosswalks

Resident asks for flashing yellow lights at crosswalks not at signaled intersections, since drivers often fail to yield to pedestrians.

English title and summary written with AI from the resident's text.

The resident's idea, as submitted

The idea

Flashing yellow lights at most/all crosswalks that are not at red light intersections. Many of the intermittent crosswalks are dangerous in that cars do not always respect pedestrians. Flashing lights would make pedestrians safer.

Who it helps and why

Flashing crosswalk lights literally save lives and go beyond racial and social barriers. This is a game changer for all.
