The idea
Is there a specific criteria, expectations entity is held accountable to determine which City of Boston organizations receive awards, citations, grants and contracts
Who it helps and why
A specific criteria would eliminate favoritism while promoting, issuing awards (and funds) based on merit/ positive impacts within The City of Boston. Prior to the pandemic, I attended a Community event at the Mattapan Library 📚 to determine the impact of grants… issued by The City of Boston. It was noted that the multitude of grant…recipients invited did not show up nor send a representative, including churches ⛪️. Quarterly reports showing progressive, positive community impact must be implemented before the next allocation of funds are issued. Otherwise, the constituents needs are not being met and tax dollars 💵 are simply being issued to assure individuals/entities are receiving pay they are not earning.
