Dog park or playground along West Roxbury Parkway

Resident proposes a dog park and/or playground, buffered from traffic by shrubs and a fence, on open space along West Roxbury Parkway, which is state DCR land, so it becomes usable recreation space.

The idea

Dog park and/or playground alongside West Roxbury “Parkway”

Who it helps and why

There is a lot of open space along West Roxbury Parkway. This space is suppose to be for recreation, but being right next to essentially a highway makes it unpleasant to recreate there. Building a dog park and/or playground separated from the road by shrubs & a fence would make it a place people want to be. Our open space should be for people to enjoy not just nice views while driving by at 50 mph. It’s state DCR land, but I think they’d be on board.
