Widen Rose Kennedy Greenway and reduce surrounding traffic lanes

The resident asks to widen the Greenway, remove surrounding traffic lanes and improve its connection to Chinatown, since it feels like a highway median with many crossings.

The resident's idea, as submitted

The idea

Enhance the Rose Kennedy Greenway by widening the park, removing lanes of traffic that surround it, and improving its connection to Chinatown.

Who it helps and why

The greenway was a welcome change from the large elevated highway that preceded it, but it still feels like a highway median with so many lanes of traffic surrounding it and so many crossings required to traverse it. At minimum it could be a benefit to close awkward gap between Chinatown Park and South Station, where the park peters out currently.
