Public restrooms in parks and public areas
Install public restrooms, especially in parks, so residents do not have to buy something in a store just to use a restroom.

The resident's idea, as submitted
The idea
Installing public restrooms especially in parks and similar areas that are frequented by visitors who typically utilize those facilities for an extended period of time
Who it helps and why
As a lower-income POC resident of Boston, far too often I have been in areas of the city where the only restroom option is to go into a store and buy something, forcing me to spend money unnecessarily on something I do not need, further contributing to waste. Restrooms are an essential amenity and the lack of them throughout the city diminishes how welcoming and accessible our public areas are, for residents and visitors alike.
