The idea
Locate, create a database, and organize community harvesting of fruit and berry trees/bushes around Boston. This will help with food insecurity and will also assist Boston residents in keeping their sidewalks clean of rotting fruit/berries.
Who it helps and why
Many Boston residents struggle to feed themselves and their families healthy food despite bountiful sources of fresh fruit around the city. Meanwhile, berries drop to the sidewalk, get smashed underfoot, and rot, drawing bugs and creating unsanitary conditions, which contribute to quality of life issues in our neighborhoods. This initiative will help to solve both of these problems.
