City snow clearing of sidewalks
Resident asks the city to clear snow from sidewalks as it does roadways, which would especially help lower-income residents who can't pay for shoveling.
English title and summary written with AI from the resident's text.
The resident's idea, as submitted
The idea
The city should clear sidewalks of snow, in addition to roadways. Residents don’t have to shovel the street in front of their homes. Most anyone would say it would be ridiculous to require that. Why, then, are we responsible for the sidewalks?
Who it helps and why
This proposal would help all residents, but perhaps be most beneficial to those of lesser means, who can less afford to pay someone else to handle this problem for them.
